Christ in Genesis Chs. 1-2 and John 1:1-2:11

A recent video by Alastair Roberts looks at the likelihood of a “creation week” at the start of John’s Gospel which “tracks” the creation week at the start of Genesis, and thus links the new creation in Christ with the original creation of the heavens and the earth.  Below are two articles on this topic taken from an (unfortunately short-lived!) magazine which I produced. I hope these articles fit in reasonably well with what Alastair was saying in his video, and I welcome all thoughts, comments, suggestions and corrections! I’m hoping to add more articles from this magazine to this website in the near future.

The articles can be accessed by clicking on the links below:

  1. Excellent. Jesus ‘makes Himself a sign’ in John’s gospel is an expression I have heard. N.T. Wright I think talks about this too.
