This is the second part of a short series looking at the translation of Romans 15:8-9a. In the first part we looked at some of the translation options using, as a starting point the AV translation.

In this second part, we will be looking at the verses in original Greek and also considering structural aspects. In the third part, I hope to look at the verses in their wider context – particularly looking at Paul’s discussion about the “strong” and “weak” Christians found in Romans 14:1-15:13 and especially Romans 15:1-13.
